A wonderful original 1970s Nahua Indian Mexican Coconut Mask. The mask is of a red-faced female adorned in gold wearing a horned braid. This mask is constructed of plaster, coconut shell, adorned in seedpods and painted in rick acrylics. The image could be meant to represent Xochitlicue (the Aztec goddess of fertility). The horned head feature is constructed of plaster. This mask is 100% complete and graded VG+( Very Good Plus) for moderate signs of age and wear. A true one of a kind vintage original with wonderfully aged acrylics creating a great patina.
