History: This pipe was a gift form the Bonn Germany Mayor (Oberbürgermeister) Wilhelm Spiritus (actual pictured in description) to his nephew Heinrich Aretz. Heinrich Aretz would have enlisted and served in the 9th Rhenish Infantry Landstrom Company from about 1901 until 1903. A wonderful German pipe, with a back story and a truly unique piece of German military history.
