Vintage Late 1980s African Hand Carved Wooden Folk Art Box. Wonderful African folk art box. Features unique pictorals of a young African man and his daily activities. The front of the box depicts a soccer match. The top of the box depicts a young man chasing after a naked woman. Each side shows a man and woman working with tools. This box is carved from a unique African aromatic wood with deep recessed carving. The box features a non-removable lock and clasp closure. A very thick, heavy and well made folk art box. Marked Gito 96 SA. Dimensions  14.5 X 8 X 8. A true one-of-a-kind piece of African folk art.
