A wonderful original 1970s Nahua Indian Mexican Coconut Mask. The mask is a Jaguar with a painted adobe earthenware face. Made in the vicinity of Guerrero Mexico. This mask is constructed of painted adobe over coconut shell and adorned with animal hair whiskers. This mask is 100% complete and graded VG+( Very Good Plus) for moderate signs of age and wear including cracks and chips in the earthenware. Such a wonderful piece of Mexican art history. A true one of a kind vintage original with wonderfully aged acrylics creating a great patina.
